Group Travel

Tourism That Cares has been successfully hosting high-end safari groups, African safari conferences, events, and weddings for over 25 years. We have a dedicated in-house events company with experienced senior planners to ensure that your event runs without a single hiccup. Our team handles everything from decadent destination weddings and large corporate conferences to top-of-the-line incentive and reward trips for high-performing staff, as well as sales and product launches. In-house videographers and photographers also form part of our team of experts, recording your event for posterity. We can even outsource to top suppliers for construction of trade show stands, film set installations, venue reconfiguration, and other necessities.

Tourism That Cares also has dedicated safari travel groups consultants. These consultants sell leisure tours directly to organizers, tour leaders, and to travel agents who cater to both closed, once-off groups, and open group series.

We are the go-to organization for planning high-end group safaris. Our reputation gives us the power to charter planes, book out entire resorts, and more — we can even set up tented camps for huge events in the middle of national parks for film shoots and product launches.

Of course, we understand your need for comfort and class. Everything is done so that you’ll be as relaxed and satisfied as possible.

We also strongly focus on the ethos of fair-trade tourism. We do this by investing and redirecting resources to local charities and social entrepreneurial projects where possible. This ensures an economic injection which trickles down even further than an event would, affecting marginalised communities and charities which never normally see the direct benefit of this type of tourism.

The corporate events we run are typically anywhere between 20 and 700 guests in size. Our industry connections and years of experience enable us to handle complex requests for MICE (Meetings Incentives, Conferences and Events) itineraries. These include everything from chartering full-size Boeing 737s, steam trains, ferries, and 4 x 4 convoys, to organizing special-needs catering and importation of supplies with 4 x 4 trucks. We even utilize small fleets of helicopters, so you can feel confident in our abilities to have everything just the way you need it for your event.

Our experience has spanned the length and breadth of Southern and Eastern Africa. We specialize in finding safari lodges and venues which can cater to larger numbers, without detracting from the intimacy that comes with going on a safari or attending an event. If you like, we will appoint a dedicated tour manager from our head office to handle groups of over 30 guests. This ensures top levels of service and flawless logistics, resulting in an unforgettable event you can only get with a company dedicated to luxury travel.

Our approach is always hands-on, and we have an on-site tour manager to coordinate the seamless logistics and behind-the- scenes planning. We take care of everything for you so that you can focus on achieving the goals of your company or group event.

WHAT’S THE POINT OF INCENTIVE TRAVEL?

We have found that through the years, incentive travel is a highlight to every employee as one of the key motivating tools used to reward performance. As of 2016, U.S. Businesses spent $22.5 Billion annually on incentive travel.

Reasons for incentive travel:
  • Sales Achievement Incentives
  • Customer Loyalty Incentives
  • Corporate Meetings or getaways
  • Milestone Achievements
  • Charity and Goodwill Incentives

These are just some of the reasons why incentive travel is such a key element to any business as part of their overall staff reward strategy. We are convinced that after the first incentive trip with us you will already want to start planning the next one based on the goodwill given and goals achieved.
